The Marchetti dilatometer is an instrument allowing the diagnosis and measurement of the soil parameters directly in the substratum. It is particularly useful for:
- soil type identification,
- determination of stress history in the soil,
- estimation of values of parameters, such as: deformation modules (E0, E), shear capacity without outflow (cu), lateral earth pressure coefficient (K0), preconsolidation stress.
The BAARS company, as the first one in Europe, already has the latest (production year – 2015) dilatometer controller by Prof. Silvano Marchetti.
This allows us to even more accurate and faster DMT investigations conduction.
Equipment standards:
- Eurocode 7
- according to Technical Committee TC – 16
- International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) – 1
